Bridge Design Engineer - PE (OKC, OK)

LOCATION: Oklahoma City, OK

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

COMPENSATION: $80,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

JOB SUMMARY:

MacArthur Associated Consultants is seeking a Bridge Design Engineer to join our Structural Design team in Oklahoma City. In this role, you will help deliver innovative, cost-effective bridge solutions that improve the safety and connectivity of communities across Oklahoma. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with experience in bridge design, structural analysis, and project coordination who is committed to producing high-quality engineering solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and modify engineering reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and design documents.

  • Develop and validate bridge design specifications while ensuring projects meet quality standards.

  • Perform structural analysis and cost estimates for a variety of bridge and transportation projects.

  • Utilize structural engineering software to develop and analyze bridge designs.

  • Serve as the on-site project representative and conduct construction site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contract documents.

  • Coordinate with technicians, surveyors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project development.

  • Deliver innovative, economical, and practical structural solutions that meet client needs.

  • Maintain compliance with applicable bridge design standards, codes, and engineering best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Oklahoma Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of bridge design experience.

  • Proficiency with structural design software, including:

    • STAAD.Pro

    • Bentley OpenBridge Designer

    • MDX

    • ETCulvert

  • Knowledge of ODOT and municipal bridge design criteria and standards. Familiarity with:

    • AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications

    • International Building Code (IBC)

    • AISC

    • ACI

  • Ability to lead and collaborate with technicians, surveyors, and other engineering professionals.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
