Roadway Design Engineers - PE (OKC, OK)

LOCATION: Oklahoma City, OK

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

COMPENSATION: $80,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

JOB SUMMARY:

MacArthur Associated Consultants is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to join our Transportation team. In this role, you will play a key part in the planning, design, and construction of roadway infrastructure projects that improve communities across Oklahoma. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with strong technical expertise, project management experience, and a passion for delivering innovative, high-quality transportation solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead roadway design and infrastructure projects from concept through construction.

  • Prepare and modify engineering reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and design documents.

  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to develop roadway plans and supporting documentation.

  • Serve as the on-site project representative and conduct construction site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract documents.

  • Develop project schedules and coordinate project timelines.

  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior engineers and technical staff.

  • Collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Maintain compliance with applicable transportation regulations, design standards, and engineering best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Oklahoma Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of roadway engineering experience.

  • At least 2 years of project management experience.

  • Proficiency with roadway design software, including:

    • MicroStation

    • InRoads

    • OpenRoads

    • Civil 3D

  • Knowledge of Oklahoma transportation regulations and design standards. Familiarity with:

    • AASHTO Green Book

    • MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices)

    • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
